Generate Forecast
Prerequisites
- Set the applicable project level forecast options. See Set Forecast Options.
- For a new project where you are generating the estimate to complete (ETC) values for the first time, be sure to set the current period first (see Set the Current Period). When you set the current period, it clears any existing forecast values. In instances where your project start date falls in the first calendar reporting period, you do not need to set the current period. It is set by default when you set the project start date.
These steps assume you are generating the ETC values using the budget baseline dates.
- Select in the Navigation Menu. The main EVMax window displays.
- Select your project from the dropdown in the Ribbon Menu.
- Click in the Ribbon Menu. A Generate Forecast dialog box displays.
- Select from the dropdown.
- Select from the dropdown.
- From the list of available forecast , select the cost code you want to populate with the ETC values.
- Click Save.
-
Review the applicable WBS elements with the generated data in the main EVMax window. See View the Forecast Spread.
Tip:
If you don't like the result from generating your ETC values, you can clear the ETC values (see Remove Forecast) and generate your data again using different options.
